TRAINING INFORMATION
Training: Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club will provide a steerer, paddles, canoes and life jackets for each session. At least five members of the team must turn up to each session to fill the seats in the canoe. Please make sure that your participants can swim at least 50 metres lightly clothed as a safety precaution.
Club Address: Shed 2, North Wharf Road (at the far end), Docklands – Melways Ref 2E B3
Training Days: Saturday morning.
Training to commence the week beginning 3rd November 2008, every Saturday will be made available through to Race Day। Three training sessions should be more than adequate for teams to be competent and competitive।
Time: Saturday session: 10:30 – 11.३०अम
Safety Note: All teams will be required to attend at least one training session, as safety is paramount to the Games Organisers as well as MOCC। This is to ensure your team members know how to hold the paddle correctly, what to do in case of capsize, and understand the running of the canoe while racing and getting used to listening to the instructions of your Steerer।
